Luka Kosem leads Pronautic, with Andrej Škof supporting yacht care and technical operations. A working relationship shaped by years aboard and real problems solved at sea.
THE JOURNEY
The journey
Luka’s sailing experience began well before the extended journey that later helped shape Pronautic, with independent sailing and time aboard other sailboats. He and Andrej later purchased a 40-foot sailing yacht in Greece, then rebuilt, modernised and prepared it for extended offshore sailing.
An almost four-year voyage followed, through the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean and Central America. Living aboard meant taking responsibility for the boat’s upkeep, its systems and the practical challenges of life at sea.
Across his sailing experience as a whole, Luka has logged nearly 30,000 nautical miles. These years of sailing and boat ownership developed the practical understanding of maintenance, system reliability and problem-solving that informs Pronautic’s work today.
